Baba’s Christmas Snowballs (Tea Cakes)

These classic Russian Tea Cakes are a holiday favorite! A shortbread style cookie full of flavor and blanketed in a white snow of powdered sugar, they’re as easy to make as they are to eat.

Ingredients
1 C – Butter, salted
1 C – Powdered Sugar
1 tsp – Vanilla
2 1/4 C – Flour
1/2 tsp – Salt
3/4 C – Chopped Walnuts
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400.
Cream together butter, sugar and vanilla. Gently work in flour, salt and nuts.
Bake for 10 minutes until set, but not browned. Remove from oven and while still warm, but cool enough to handle, roll in powdered sugar. When cool, roll a second time.
Store in an airtight container for up to a week, or freeze for up to 6 months.
