Lean and Green No Carb Garlic “Rolls” aka Paleo Bread

This ridiculously simple paleo bread recipe has been the answer to my prayers!  Lean and Green, Paleo Bread is not only good for you, I promise, it’s as good as it looks. While I’ve never LOVED bread, I most certainly do LOVE the convenience of sandwiches and on the go type foods. With only 1/6 of a Lean serving and 1/6 of a condiment for 2 “slices” I promise you are going to love it too.

INGREDIENTS:

3    large eggs, separated

1/8 tsp  cream of tartar

1 T  grated Parmesan cheese

1 T  cream cheese

1 T  Stacey Hawkins Garlic & Spring Onion Seasoning

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.

Separate egg yolks and whites into two large bowls.

Into the bowl with the whites, add the cream of tartar.  Using an electric mixer, beat on high until very stiff peaks form.  Set aside.

Add remaining ingredients into the bowl with the yolks.  Using an electric mixer, beat together on high until all ingredients are incorporated.  (will be a little bit lumpy)

Pour the egg yolks over the whites and then GENTLY fold them together until completely combined.

Line 2 cookie sheets with silicone baking mats OR GENEROUSLY spray with nonstick cooking spray.  Using a large spoon, place a dollop of egg mixture onto the mat and spread to size.  DO NOT make these too thin as they will burn and crisp.  Keep egg mixture about 1/3″ thick for best results.  Repeat process to make 12 “rolls.”

Bake for 30 minutes and remove from oven.  Remove from the pan while still slightly warm and set aside to cool.  Bread will be crispy in texture when it comes right out of the oven.  Once cooled, place in a zipper style bag and overnight it will turn to soft, pliable bread that is delicious!

Makes 12 rolls
