We love the idea of a Lean and Green lifestyle, but how can it be done EVERY DAY? Over and over again I hear people stress about these top Lean and Green myths that leave them frustrated and afraid. Never fear! Today I have simple and easy solutions that will have you to BUST past these so-called challenges and break through to a Lean and Green life that gets RESULTS!
MYTH #1- THIS IS JUST ANOTHER DIET
Lean and Green living is not a diet, it is actually a simple, healthy way of life that includes whole, fresh and delicious foods. It doesn’t get any more simple, or back to basics than that. It’s not a fad, it’s a way to simply nourish your body, deliciously. Lean and green recipes partner beautifully with a low-carb diet (like Medifast, Optavia or Take Shape for Life as well as many others) because they are full of lean proteins and low-glycemic (low sugar) vegetables. This combination helps you stay on program and reach your goals with a smile on your face. You’ll LOVE what you’re eating!

The entire reason I became the Queen of Lean and Green is because I had 100 pounds to lose and I didn’t want to stare down another piece of chicken breast again. With the soaring cost of food these days, it’s easy to believe that sticking with a Lean and Green lifestyle is is expensive. The truth is, with smart shopping, it does not have to be expensive at all. Whether you’re cooking for just yourself or a family, you can follow these great tips for keeping on a budget and staying there for the long haul. You don’t have to compromise either! By taking 15 minutes (see myth #2) to plan your meals for the week, creating a grocery list and sticking to it, you can save thousands of dollars per year on groceries. Be smart and plan ahead to save.
MYTH #5- IT’S NOT FOR EVERYONE
Let’s face it, as a nation, we are getting more and more heavy and unhealthy as a result. The truth of the matter is, whether we are on program or not, Lean and Green eating is for EVERYONE. As a single mom of two teenagers, I learned long ago that I did not have the time to make one meal for them and one meal for me. I cooked one meal for us all, and it just so happened to be Lean and Green. As a result of all my trial and error, the Stacey Hawkins flavorful product line grew and grew and the recipes and cookbooks along with them. I wanted meals that everyone loved and that they wanted to eat. I wanted meals that I was going to be proud to serve. I got all that and more. In the end, we ALL benefitted, and I felt AMAZING not only because I was staying on program, but because I was proud to serve meals that were healthy and delicious. It was win-win for everyone.
