Let's face it, while pasta may not be a part of a Low carb diet recipe regime, and it's certainly not allowed on Optavia or Optavia 5&1 recipes, you can make incredibly delicious substitutions that keep you feeling indulgently happy!
This quick, easy and luxe recipe for Hearty Herbed Tomato Sauce can be made in just 5 minutes and goes great on top of zucchini noodles, palmini noodles or any other pasta approved substitutes. And when the noodles are "really" just a vehicle for the sauce, you're gonna LOVE the fact that you have a fresh and delicious one at your fingertips.
Happy cooking!
Stacey
NOTE: This recipe is very low salt AND a fresh-style sauce. - if you want a heartier, more "traditional" style sauce, you can let the tomatoes cook a little longer and add salt at the end to taste if you are not on a sodium restricted diet.
