How to Make an Apple Flower Pot
We LOVE these fun little apple pots! Perfect for any buffet table, charcuterie plate or dinner table. Make a few of them and scatter around a table for a quick and easy Big Bold colorful and fun addition! Be sure to use lemon juice on the cut apples to keep them from browning!! Have fun :)
Step 1: Cut a flat spot on the bottom of a fist-sized apple (minimum size)
Step 2: Cut a horizontal slice off the top of the apple. This is the flower portion. Leave the stem intact for extra fun!
Step 3: Using the following pattern, remove the flesh from the inside of the apple to make the cup portion. Be careful not to go through the bottom of the apple- to be safe, leave about 1/2" inch of thickness in the bottom.
Step 4: Using the following pattern, mark the apple and cut out the "v" parts of the pattern to make the petals.
Step 5: Brush lemon juice over all cut surfaces.
Step 6: Insert a wooden skewer into the notch cut in the apple pot. Make sure it extends down almost to the bottom of the apple to keep the cup from falling over.
Step 7: Add the flower to the top of the skewer & fill with your favorite filling. Enjoy!
